Ranchi, May 6: The ED is conducting raids at multiple locations in Ranchi amid the Lok Sabha elections.
Huge cash worth over Rs 25 Crore was recovered from the house of Jahangir Alam who is said to be the household help of Sanjiv Lal, PS to Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam.
The cash has been recovered from two locations and Sanjiv Lal had rented/purchased a house in the name of his household staff where cash was recovered today.
Notably, the ED arrested Virendra K. Ram, the chief engineer at the Jharkhand Rural Development Department, in February 2023 in a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the implementation of some schemes.
