CISCE declares results of Class 10th and 12th board exams

New Delhi, May 6: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12th) board exams today, May 6. These exams were held until March 28 for Class 10 and April 3 for Class 12.

Students can access the results of the ICSE and ISC exams on the official CISCE website, cisce.org.

The class 10 passing percentage for the 2023–2024 academic year was 99.47% (2,42,328 students), while the class 12 passing percentage was 98.19% (98,088 students).

A total of 99,901 students took the Class 10th examinations, with 52,765 boys (52.82%) and 47,136 girls (47.18%) among them.

2695 schools participated in the ICSE exam, out of which 82.48% (2223 schools) achieved a 100% pass percentage. For the ISC exam, students from 1366 schools appeared, with 66.18% (904 schools) achieving a 100% pass rate.

No compartment exams from 2024

CISCE Chief Executive Joseph Emmanuel gave a major update to students, announcing that the board has decided to stop holding compartment exams for the ICSE and ISC starting in 2024.

For those seeking to enhance their marks/grades within the same examination year, they can opt for improvement exams in a maximum of two subjects. These improvement exams are scheduled for July 2024. Further information regarding the improvement exams will be provided shortly on the official website.
