Ranchi, April 30: The BJP today launched a major attack on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), saying it had been in close contact with land brokers.
BJP spokesman Pratul Shahdeo said that the documents filed in the PMLA court have made it clear that all the people, including JMM leader Antu Tirkey, Saddam Hussain, and Afsar Ali, have accepted that they prepared the fake documents of 8.86 acres of land of Hemant Soren.
Transfer-posting and land fraud racket
Pratul said these accused have also admitted to running a massive transfer-posting and land fraud racket.
He said the land loot scam can be worth billions of rupees.
Chat between Antu Tirkey and Supriyo Bhattacharya
Pratul said the WhatsApp chat between JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and Antu Tirkey revealed shocking facts.
“It is clear from this chat that Antu Tirkey, who was involved in land racketeering, was lobbying Supriyo Bhattacharya to post Praveen Munda, working as DCLR, Khunti, as District Land Acquisition Officer in Ranchi. It was also known that the file reached the CM House.”
The BJP leader asked how the things inside the CM House were leaked and why Supriyo Bhattacharya did not file an FIR when Antu Tirkey told this.

“Is this not a violation of the Official Secrets Act and confidentiality?” Pratul asked and said that it is clear from the documents Antu Tirkey used to arrange the transfer and posting of officers by taking a commission.
‘Transfer Posting Morcha’
He said the JMM should also open a ‘Transfer Posting Morcha’ like Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha.
Pratul said that the information about the file reaching the brokers involved in the land fraud shows that either the CMO was involved or these brokers had influence even on the CMO.
‘False statements to defend Hemant Soren’
Pratul said that Supriya Bhattacharya had made many false statements to defend Hemant Soren. “The latest was when Rs 36 lakh was recovered from Hemant Soren’s Delhi house. At that time, Bhattacharya had said that ED had planted this money. Later, Hemant clarified in his petition to the High Court that he had received the money from the party fund for the treatment of his parents.
Pratul wanted Chief Minister Champai Soren to reveal the relationship between his government, party and the people engaged in the racket of land brokers and transfer posting.
Bid to mute my voice, says Supriyo Bhattacharya
On the other hand, Bhattacharya dubbed the BJP charge as a ploy to mute his voice. “I meet so many people, and they speak to me about all sorts of issues,” he maintained.
“I just wanted to know whether the officer named in the chat was posted or not as desired in 2021,” he asserted.
The JMM leader said the information about the chat was leaked with malafide intentions. He feared he would also receive a summons from the ED soon.
“But I am not afraid of all these false allegations. My voice will be muted only when I reach the Hotwar jail,” he asserted.
