The ‘Kalash Vandan Abhiyan’, organised at Carnival Banquet Hall in Dibdih, Ranchi, began with religious leaders lighting a ceremonial lamp and offering prayers before the portrait of Sant Guru Ravidas Maharaj. The campaign aims to take the saint’s message of social harmony, equality and national unity to every village, temple and household in Jharkhand.

Launching the campaign, BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam said the party respects all personalities who have enriched the nation through their contributions in the religious, political and social spheres.

“The BJP reveres all great personalities who have enriched the nation in the religious, political and social spheres. Building a harmonious, strong and developed India is possible only by following the ideals of Sant Guru Ravidas,” Gautam said.

He alleged that forces were attempting to divide the country on the basis of caste, language and religion.

“Today, the country is resolutely fighting anti-national forces that seek to divide society along the lines of caste, language and religion. Sant Ravidas’s message of equality and harmony must reach every village,” he said.

Gautam said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas reflected the ideals of Sant Ravidas and stressed that the campaign was meant for all sections of society, not just one community.

Babulal Marandi Stresses ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’

Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi said India has always stood for social harmony and inclusiveness.

“How can discrimination exist in a country whose core philosophy is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’? Even the gods aspire to be born on this sacred land. We must strengthen society by following the path shown by Sant Ravidas,” Marandi said.

He urged party workers to counter forces that seek to divide society and to spread the saint’s message of unity across Jharkhand.

‘Era of Renaissance’: Arjun Munda

Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda described the present period as “an era of renaissance” and said India’s saints and sages had consistently guided society towards unity and harmony.

“This is an era of renaissance. Guru Ravidas lived a life of simplicity and purity and taught society to rise above divisions of caste, religion and sect,” Munda said.

Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda said the campaign would help carry Sant Ravidas’s message of equality and social harmony to the remotest villages of Jharkhand.

Kalash Yatra to Cover Every Village

Explaining the campaign, BJP Jharkhand State General Secretary (Organisation) Karmveer Singh said the sacred urns containing soil from Sant Ravidas’s birthplace would travel from districts to mandals, panchayats, Shakti Kendras and villages before the ceremonial immersion on September 10.

“The main objective of this campaign is to take the Kalash Yatra to every home and every temple while spreading Sant Ravidas’s message of social harmony,” he said.

He said the campaign would also include interactions with students, saints and local communities, culminating in a grand gathering in Ranchi on Magh Purnima.

Senior BJP Leaders Attend Programme

The programme was presided over by Kishun Das, State President of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, while State General Secretary Amar Kumar Bauri conducted the proceedings. BJP state president Aditya Sahu, who was away attending Parliament, sent a written message urging party workers to take the sacred urns to every district, mandal, Shakti Kendra and village in Jharkhand.

During the event, Dushyant Gautam felicitated members who had travelled to Varanasi to bring the sacred urns from Sant Guru Ravidas’s birthplace. Several senior BJP leaders, religious figures and social representatives, including Deepak Prakash, C.P. Singh, Naveen Jaiswal, Neelkanth Singh Munda, Padma Shri Mahavir Nayak and Chief Granthi Vikram Singh, were present.
