Patna, September 9: Criminals shot and killed BJP leader Shyam Sundar, also known as Munna Sharma, near the Manoj Kamaliya Gate in Patna City’s Mangal Talab area in the wee hours on Monday. The crime occurred around 4 a.m.
According to reports, as soon as Shyam Sundar arrived near the Manoj Kamaliya Gate, the criminals opened fire on him, and he fell to the ground at the scene.
The police officer who arrived at the scene stated that he received information about the incident at 6 a.m. The family took Shyam Sundar to the hospital, but he had already died by that time. According to the police, they are currently examining the CCTV footage from the area surrounding the crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

A friend of Shyam Sundar reported that they regularly visited Mangal Talab for morning walks. On arriving this morning, they learned of his murder. He said that a review of CCTV footage showed Shyam Sundar leaving the temple, talking to someone, when two boys on a bike tried to steal his chain and shot him in the head before fleeing.
The police are examining whether the murder was carried out with the intent of robbery or if it was part of a planned conspiracy. It has also come to light that Shyam Sundar was wearing a chain around his neck, which the assailants did not steal despite shooting him in the head.
