Dhanbad, Nov 7: BJP MLA Dhulu Mahto today expressed apprehension that Dhanbad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar may get him murdered any time for raising voices against coal theft, increase in crimes, and extortion from traders in the district.
While talking to media persons at Dhanbad circuit house, the three-term Baghmara MLA alleged that the SSP and the Jharkhand government have been rattled after he launched a campaign against poor law and order and firing on a trader last week.
“My bodyguard has been withdrawn. I see this is a calculated conspiracy to get me murdered as the SSP has several dreaded criminals in control and he may get me (MLA) killed through them,” alleged Baghmara MLA. He further said that a conspiracy is also on to implicate him in false cases to get his voice gagged.
Dhulu Mahto alleged that he has been deprived of security while the JMM leaders, coal, and iron scrap dealers have been provided proper security guards.
The MLA said that he has written to the Jharkhand High Court, the state home department, and the district administration for a probe into the allegation.
The BJP MLA, on the occasion, also announced to hold a demonstration at Randhir Verma Chowk near the collectorate demanding a probe by the ACB and the CBI.
