THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, August 2: Amidst the opposition uproar in the Jharkhand Assembly, Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said they (BJP MLAs) do not have any agenda. “These people have turned an important session into a ruckus,” he said.

Ignoring the sloganeering of the MLAs, Soren said, “I have solid proof against these people on what they did in five years. I have everything; how many buildings did they build; how much did they steal, we have everything, these people have done robbery. There has been murder for land; these people are land looters and they get me jailed on the charge of land looting.”

The CM further said, where did the money came from for all the buildings built in 5 years, these people have just built buildings on government and non-cultivated land. “These people have no answer either inside the House or outside,” he said.

CM takes a dig at Himant Biswa Sarma

Taking a dig at Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma, Soren said, “They have a chief minister whose state is submerged in flood. Instead of going there, he is doing politics here. They are dividing Jharkhand, dividing the society. Don’t worry, you will be wiped out not only in Jharkhand but also in Assam,” he maintained.

Sarma happens to be the BJP co-incharge for the Assembly elections in Jharkhand.

Soren on jobs

The chief minister said, “We have given more than one lakh jobs in non-governmental institutions; we have given appointment letters to thousands of youths; our children are working in good companies in the country and abroad today.”

“If we talk about government jobs, these people did not even make rules in 20 years, we did the work of making rules and framed a domicile policy and job policy for tribals and natives. But these people ruined it too; these people are backstabbers. These people worked to stop the domicile policy in the court. If this law is made in our state, then it is unconstitutional and if it is made in their state then it is constitutional,” he maintained.

“We appointed 90% tribals and natives,” he pointed out.

‘Sleep in protest’ by BJP MLAs

Notably, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto suspended 18 BJP MLAs yesterday.

These MLAs had staged a ‘sleep in the House’ protest on Wednesday night demanding the chief minister to reply to all the issues of Jharkhand inside the House, including Para Teachers, Assistant Policemen, MNREGA workers, Anganwadi Sevika Sahayika, Cook, Poshan Sakhi, Jal Sahia, ANM/ GNM, Home Guard, Panchayat Sevak, Computer Operator, Data Operator, Vocational Trained Teacher, Non-Gazetted Employees, Land Protector JE, Divyaangjan, JSLPS, Municipality Safai Karamchari, BRP-CRP, regularisation of all contract workers, unemployment allowance, local policy, JSSC scam, and JPSC scam.

BJP MLAs sell sand outside House

The suspended BJP MLAs today set up a stall in the Assembly premises selling sand to raise the issue of corruption in sand-lifting and scarcity of essential building materials.
