Daltonganj, Nov 3: The BJP is over brimming with making government here in Jharkhand but voters keep it cross fingered.

The BJP talks about its first cabinet in the poll meetings even weeks before the outcome of the voting and results but it evades as to under whose chairmanship the first cabinet will be held.

The BJP is very reticent when it comes to declaring who from the party will be the chief minister. The BJP is silent. The crowd of people wants to know it.

Chouhan steers clear of GoGO Didi scheme, criticizes Hemant’s initiatives

Union Agriculture Minister and chief strategist to the BJP poll machinery in Jharkhand Shivraj Singh Chouhan was here in Palamu’s Haidernagar High School ground under the Hussainabad assembly constituency on late Saturday where he told a modest gathering that “BJP is going to form government here and in its very first cabinet the BJP will come out with its calendar like dates for examinations for jobs, dates for its results and dates for the issuance of the job letters. There would come jobs for 2,87,000 youths.”

The gathering was most unimpressed. It didn’t get into any tumult at all. Chouhan is not the only big face BJP leader to talk about the first cabinet so loud mouthed.

Chouhan took a dig at Hemant’s 1,000 rupees for women terming it a political allurement at the time of hustings but cautiously evaded to make even a remote reference to the BJP’s GoGO Didi scheme a kind of replacement for Hemant’s Maiyyan Samman Yojna,  which remains as grounded as ever as BJP felt it would be making itself a laughing stock among the people. Now, no BJP leader speaks about GoGO Didi scheme. The common refrain is Ghuspaithiya (infiltration) with the BJP leadership. GoGO Didi scheme is back seated by the BJP as the party knew it can’t afford christening to a baby so unborn.

Himanta puts forth renaming proposal for Hussainabad

Himanta Biswa Sarma has gone two steps more ahead of Chouhan in the same Hussainabad assembly constituency a few weeks ago where Himanta promised people there at Japla “The BJP in its first cabinet will upgrade this Hussainabad sub division into a district, a demand that you people have for years.”

Himanta did not stop here when he went on to say “Hussainabad will be notified as a district but it will bear a different name. It will not be Hussainabad thereafter any longer. This name resembles some locations in Arab country.”

Himanta even suggested a list of names for the rechristening of Hussainabad like its name be in memoriam of any great martyrs of Jharkhand or it be in the grace of Ram or Krishan but at no case Hussainabad is to remain.

A JMM leader said “We don’t know why the BJP is so day dreaming. It has day dreamt about ‘400 par seats in the Lok Sabha election’ and see where it fell in the ground. It talks about its first cabinet but skips who among the BJP leadership will be presiding over the first cabinet.”

BJP highlights age discrepancy in Hemant’s papers

The BJP has for the moment shifted its focus from Maiyyan Samman Yojna of Hemant Soren’s government to the mismatch of Hemant’s age in the nomination papers.

Chouhan described this mismatch as ‘ajab gajab’ dubbing Soren a ‘magician’. BJP’s other front-line leaders are overplaying the same tune in regard to discrepancy in the year of age of Hemant Soren.

However, the BJP finds it too hard to explain as to how its one union minister V K Singh retired Army chief was embroiled in the raging controversy in regard to Singh’s date of birth. The country then had felt too bad about the date of birth controversy dogging the union minister.

V K Singh was the minister in Modi’s 1.O union cabinet. The JMM is likely to blow this issue with political vigour. The JMM terms the mismatch in the years of Hemant Soren as a prosaic error and no concealment of the biological age.
