Ranchi, June 10: The Ranchi Metropolitan and Rural District units of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) jointly organised a Professional Meet on Monday at Lake Garden, Argora, to mark the completion of 11 years of the Modi government at the Centre.

A large number of professionals, including advocates, doctors, professors, teachers, engineers, chartered accountants, company secretaries, and entrepreneurs, attended the event.

‘BJP Committed to Nation-Building, Not Just Power’: Smriti Irani

Speaking as the chief guest, former Union Minister Smriti Irani said the Modi government’s 11 successful years have been made possible with the support and cooperation of the people. “This third term is a blessing from the people of India,” she said.

Irani emphasised that the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicated not to power, but to serving the villages, poor, farmers, and women. “The BJP is committed to the progress of the nation, not to holding power,” she added.

She highlighted that the party, nurtured through the sacrifices of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and millions of dedicated workers, is the world’s largest political party today.

Irani also pointed out the contrast between the past and present, saying, “At one time, lavish meals were served at Congress events, costing ₹5,000-10,000 per plate. Today, the Modi government is ensuring meals for 81 crore poor citizens.”

She stressed that the government is committed to women’s empowerment and national pride. Referring to the abrogation of Article 370, she said, “Those who predicted rivers of blood saw that not even a mosquito died.”

Irani also praised Operation Sindoor for targeting the roots of terrorism, adding that today’s India is confident and self-reliant.

‘Modi Govt Restoring Governance and Security’: Babulal Marandi

Jharkhand BJP president and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi lauded the Modi government for ensuring good governance and national security.

“In contrast to the Congress’s 60 years of misrule, which fostered extremism and corruption, today the Modi government has taken decisive steps towards eliminating Naxalism,” he said.

Marandi highlighted India’s robust defence posture, citing air strikes, surgical strikes, and Operation Sindoor as examples of India’s new approach. “India no longer just writes letters — it delivers strong responses,” he remarked.

He also criticised the present INDI Alliance government in Jharkhand for promoting corruption and poor governance. “Under Modi ji, not only is development happening, but looted money is also being recovered,” Marandi said.
