Sultanpur, May 1: Maneka Gandhi, the BJP candidate for Sultanpur’s Lok Sabha constituency, submitted her nomination papers on Wednesday.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has once more opted to field Maneka as their candidate for the Sultanpur seat, where she currently serves as the sitting MP.

Sanjay Nishad, the leader of the NISHAD Party and a minister in Uttar Pradesh, joined Maneka during the filing of her nomination.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Maneka Gandhi garnered 459,196 votes, while the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate, Chandra Bhadra Singh, obtained 444,670 votes.
