Ranchi: Jharkhand’s daughter and acclaimed Bollywood playback singer, Shilpa Rao, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren today at the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road, Ranchi. The Chief Minister congratulated her on winning the Best Female Playback Singer Award at the 71st National Film Awards for her soulful rendition of “Rasiya” in the film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.

Extending his best wishes, the Chief Minister said that Jharkhand’s daughters have repeatedly brought pride to the state on national and international platforms. He added that Shilpa Rao’s achievement will always inspire the younger generation, and this honour is not only hers but also a matter of pride for the entire state. He wished her a bright and successful future ahead.

During the meeting, Shilpa Rao expressed her gratitude.
