Ranchi, February 5: Under the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), former Chief Minister Hemant Soren today dared the central agency to show documents of his involvement in the land scam.
Speaking in the Jharkhand Assembly during the confidence motion, moved by Champai Soren, Hemant played the Adivasi victim card. He said that whenever a tribal tried to rise, these forces (read BJP) did not allow them to do so.
Blames Raj Bhawan
In a speech packed with emotions, Hemant said that the night of 31st January was a black night when, for the first time, a chief minister was arrested. “Raj Bhawan is somehow involved in this incident,” he alleged.
Hemant said that the script of his ouster has been written in a planned manner since 2019. “The BJP people wanted him to be arrested in a planned manner,” he said.

“Their (BJP) only work left is to attack innocent people. They work from the backdoor. If they have the courage, they should show my name on paper. If my name is there, I will quit politics,” he said.
(But I will not shed tears. I will save these tears when the appropriate time comes. I will answer them one by one so that this conspiracy will be defeated,” he said.
The former chief minister said that they have discussed the issue of corruption since 2019 and not since 2000.
BMW and 5-star hotels
“They do not want the tribals to go to the country’s top position. They are troubled when we travel by plane, stay in a five-star hotel, and drive a BMW,” he said.
Hemant said they have mastered a strategy for illegal work within the law.
He said that they (BJP) say Ram Rajya arrived on January 22. “The first step was taken in Bihar, where a leader from a backward class was ousted. The second step came in Jharkhand. They saw here a lot of bones. But they won’t be able to devour them. If this bone gets stuck in one’s throat, then one will have to open one’s chest and get out,” he warned.
