Breaking News: NTPC DGM shot dead in Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh, March 8: NTPC Deputy General Manager (DGM) Kumar Gaurav was shot dead by unidentified criminals in Hazaribagh. He was shot in the back and immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The incident occurred around 9:30 AM near Fataha in the Katkamdag police station area of Hazaribagh. Regarding the attack, Hazaribagh SP Arvind Kumar Singh stated that police raids are underway to apprehend the assailants.

According to reports, Kumar Gaurav was working at NTPC’s Keredari office and was on his way to work on Saturday morning when the criminals opened fire on him. He was fatally injured in the attack and succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical aid.

The crime scene lies between Hazaribagh and Barkagaon. Notably, a similar incident occurred in the same area about two years ago when criminals shot the General Manager of Ritwik Company.

Following the murder of the NTPC DGM, fear has spread among NTPC officials. Several NTPC projects are ongoing in Hazaribagh’s Barkagaon and Keredari areas, requiring frequent visits from officers. As a result, employees and officials now feel increasingly unsafe.
