Breaking: One dead, six students injured as bus collides with school van in Hazaribag

Hazaribag, Dec 8: In a head-on collision between a school van and a bus, one died and six got injured.

The deceased was identified as the driver of the school van.

The incident took place on the Hazaribag-Chatra road in Katkamsandi.

Sources said the children are from Nongaon village in Pathalgada block of Chatra district. They are studying in the St Augustine school of Katkamsandi and used to come here from a private school van.

According to eyewitnesses, both vehicles collided head-on resulting in the death of the driver. Around a dozen of children were present in the van and six of them sustained severe injuries. Children with minor injuries were treated in Hazaribag and six were referred to Ranchi.
