Jamshedpur, Jan 25: For the first time ever since its inception last year, students of the Ghatshila-based Sona Devi University got an opportunity for an industrial trip.

Students belonging to different departments of the Ghatsila-based new university were taken for an industrial educational tour of Surda Mines and Musabani Mines of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) at Moubhandar in Ghatsila on Wednesday.

In all, there were about  25 students. Senior professors including Pooja Tiwari, Kumari Shraddha Panda, Umesh Kumar Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Rajan Kumar, Anusua Rai and Menka Singh accompanied the students.

During the industrial study tour, the students acquired complete knowledge of the processing process in different departments, which in turn will prove helpful for them in their upcoming courses.

Seeing all this, students got a positive attitude towards mines. Senior officials of HCL Yogesh Kansal, DJ Some and Shashank Tiwari co-operated and made proper arrangements for the students.

The study tour proved to be very useful and a boon of knowledge to the students.

Sona Devi University expressed gratitude to the Hindustan Copper Limited family.

Vice-chancellor of the University, JP Mishra and the registrar Gulab Singh Azad were in favour of organising more such programs in future to motivate and boost the enthusiasm of the students.
