Jamshedpur, September 3:  A major fire broke out on Wednesday at a stockyard near Pardih Chowk under the Azadnagar police station area, triggering panic among residents.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at a Maruti company stockyard when a Ford Figo car suddenly caught fire.

Vehicle Engulfed in Seconds

Eyewitnesses said the car was engulfed in flames within moments, sending thick black smoke billowing across the area. Local residents rushed to the scene and quickly alerted Azadnagar police and the fire brigade.

Cause Linked to Battery Replacement

Preliminary information suggested that the car’s battery was being replaced at the time of the incident. The fire broke out when an attempt was made to start the vehicle, spreading rapidly before becoming severe.
