SUBHASH MISHRA

Dhanbad, Aug 9: The Department of Chemical Engineering at BIT Sindri has successfully concluded its eight-week internship programme for 12 students, marking the end of an intensive phase of hands-on learning and industry exposure.

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice

Head of Department Dr Amit Kumar Gupta said the initiative was designed to give students practical experience and industrial insights, helping them connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.

The programme, held under Dr Gupta’s guidance, was coordinated by senior faculty members Dr C. V. Raghunath and Dr Ashok Kumar Barnwal, with active support from other department staff who mentored students throughout.

A Blend of Training, Projects, and Technical Sessions

Students participated in a carefully structured mix of technical lectures, project-based learning, and hands-on training. This approach, Dr Gupta noted, helped them gain a deeper understanding of industrial processes and develop problem-solving skills.

Enthusiasm and Commitment on Display

According to faculty members, the interns approached every task with dedication and eagerness to learn. Participants praised the programme’s balance of structure and practicality, saying it strengthened both their technical expertise and professional confidence.

Looking Ahead

The Head of Department and senior faculty congratulated all students on their successful completion of the internship. They also expressed their commitment to organising more such initiatives in the future to promote the holistic development of BIT Sindri students.
