Kolkata, Jan 6: Coal India Limited (CIL), under the Ministry of Coal, has significantly stride in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by providing financial assistance to civil services aspirants. This support is aimed at helping talented individuals who have cleared the Civil Service (Main) Examination 2024 and are preparing for the upcoming personality test.

Recently, CIL also received the Green World Award in London from the Green Organization, recognizing its commitment to environmental best practices.

Aiding Aspirants Through CSR

This CSR initiative is part of CIL’s effort to nurture talented individuals who aspire to serve the nation but face financial constraints. The program primarily supports candidates residing in the 39 districts where CIL operates, empowering them to compete in one of India’s most prestigious exams—the Civil Services Examination.

Eligibility criteria for the NIRMAN scheme include:

Speaking on this initiative, Vinay Ranjan, Director (Personnel & Industrial Relations) at Coal India Limited, congratulated the successful candidates and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence. He remarked, “The future depends on what you do today. Civil service is not just a career, but a calling to serve the nation with dedication, integrity, and purpose.”

Through this initiative, CIL continues to empower the youth of the nation, strengthening its role not only as a leading public sector enterprise but also as a committed partner in nation-building.
