Jamshedpur, May 3: Standard one grader of Loyola School, Anushka Mahto has been accorded with Academic Excellence Award, bringing laurels to the district and the family.

Anushka was given the award at a function organised at the Loyola School premises amidst the presence of a large number of audience, including the school children, their enthusiastic parents and the teachers.

Daughter of Sanjay Kumar Mahto, a senior official in the Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL), Anushka is not only an excellent student which is evident from her academic performance at such a nascent stage but is also a marvellous achiever in the extracurricular activities in the school.

From what is learned from the sources in the Loyola School, the little girl has an amazing ability in the field of singing and dancing besides having mesmerizing eloquence.

Recently, Anushka went to New Delhi and met President Draupadi Murmu after being selected from a group of students in Jamshedpur.

Sanjay Kumar Mahto, who is posted at the JBVNL’s Seraikela division of the discom gave all credit to his wife Hemlata for his daughter’s performance, especially in the academic field.

“If any child shines in one’s academic career, it is the parents who should be given credit to. And in case of my daughter, it is wife Hemlata should be praised as she does take care of Anushka in every field meticulously,” Mahto said while talking to The Jharkhand Story.

The JBVNL officer expressed pleasure over his daughter’s academic performance and asserted that he would like to see her achieve accolades in her education in the future.
