Ranchi, Oct 16: Chief Minister Hemant Soren reaffirmed his government’s strong commitment to social welfare and inclusive development, urging everyone to “stand with every person in need” during the inauguration of the three-day IPSOWA Diwali Mela 2025 organised by the Indian Police Service Officers’ Wives Association (IPSOWA) at Maidan, Doranda, Ranchi.
Praises IPSOWA’s Ongoing Social Efforts
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated IPSOWA for its continued dedication to community welfare and social commitment in Jharkhand.
“This organisation has been doing commendable work in supporting the oppressed and underprivileged sections of society through various initiatives. Its work reflects compassion and a deep sense of social responsibility,” said the Chief Minister.

MLA Kalpana Soren attended the event as the special guest, joining hundreds of visitors celebrating the spirit of Diwali and community service in Ranchi.

Striving Towards New Goals Through Service
The Chief Minister praised both the Jharkhand Police Department and IPSOWA for their combined efforts in protecting citizens while promoting social causes.
“While the police department ensures the safety of life and property, IPSOWA—run by the families of police officers—has been fulfilling important social responsibilities with sensitivity and dedication. Through events like this Diwali Mela, you are setting new goals and achieving them with purpose,” he said.

A Call for Collective Responsibility
Highlighting his focus on social welfare initiatives in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren called on citizens and organisations to work together for an inclusive and compassionate society.
“IPSOWA continues its social work tirelessly despite members’ busy schedules. Its members are always ready to help those in need. It is crucial that we all stand with every person who requires support, so that no one is left behind,” he said.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all participants and organisers of the IPSOWA Diwali Mela 2025, appreciating the association’s efforts in bringing people together for a social cause.
