Ranchi, March 19:
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday lauded police personnel for their achievements in sports while attending the closing ceremony of the state-level police sports competition, where he honoured winners with trophies.

He noted that many personnel have brought recognition to the state and the country through their performances and expressed confidence that they will continue to achieve greater success in the future.

Participation More Important Than Winning

Highlighting the significance of sportsmanship, Soren said that while some participants win and others may not, participation itself is the most important aspect of sports.

He congratulated all participants and encouraged them to continue taking part in such competitions with enthusiasm, adding that success would follow with dedication and perseverance.

Sports Essential for Fitness and Well-being

The Chief Minister emphasised that sports play a crucial role in maintaining physical fitness and overall health. He described the Jharkhand Police’s initiative to organise annual sports competitions for its personnel as commendable.

Among those present were Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Vandana Dadel, Director General of Police Tadasha Mishra, and Additional Director General of Police Priya Dubey, along with other senior officials and participants.
