Ranchi, Jan 9: Union Coal Minister Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Security Training Centre at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) here and reviewed CCL’s ongoing projects. Several senior officials from CCL, along with MP Mahua Manjhi and MLA, were present at the event.
Enhancing the Skills of Security Personnel
The Security Training Centre has been established to provide orientation and refresher training for security personnel, aiming to improve their professional skills. Equipped with state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor training facilities, the centre is designed to empower employees, enhance their capabilities, and ensure safer, more efficient operations.

5G Use Case Test Lab Inaugurated at CMPDI
Before visiting CCL, Minister Kishan Reddy inaugurated the 5G Use Case Test Lab and a showcase installation made from waste materials at the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI). He also reviewed CMPDI’s operations during the visit. Present at the occasion were CMPDI Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar, along with Director (Technical/CRD) Shankar Nagachari, Director (Technical/PND) Ajay Kumar, Director (Technical/RDNT) Achyuta Ghatak, and other officials.
Foundation Stone for a 200-Bed Hospital to Be Laid
Reddy is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. On the first day, he participated in the inauguration ceremonies at CMPDI and CCL in Ranchi. On the second day, January 10, he will lay the foundation stone for a 200-bed hospital at Sukarhuttu in Kanke, on land belonging to RINPAS. During his visit, the Minister may also meet with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss issues concerning coal workers, outstanding payments, and other related matters.
