Jamshedpur, Dec 19: Several pockets of Jharkhand especially western parts continued to reel under cold wave conditions today.
Weathermen said the cold wave condition is expected to prevail for another 48 hours due to the dominating north-westerly currents.
Chatra and Khunti recorded around 6 degrees Celsius today while Hazaribagh recorded around 8 degrees.
Daltonganj and Bokaro recorded around 7.5 degrees today while Ranchi recorded 9.8 degrees.

Jamshedpur today recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius.
No significant synoptic situation prevails over Jharkhand.
Dry weather prevailed over the state. The highest maximum temperature 27.8°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 7.2°C was recorded at Garhwa yesterday.
Various districts today issued advisory as to how to protect from the severe cold condition.
The advisory issued by East Singhbhum district administration said children and elderly people are most vulnerable to cold wave conditions and hence proper measures should be taken to protect them.
