Jamshedpur, Jan 13: Jharkhand continued to reel under a cold wave on Tuesday as minimum temperatures dropped sharply across several districts, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi.

Gumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 2.3°C. Bokaro also remained under cold wave conditions.

Ranchi registered a maximum temperature of 21.6°C and a minimum of 7.5°C, both below normal for this time of year.

Jamshedpur, Chaibasa Weather Update

Jamshedpur experienced a relatively warmer day with a maximum temperature of 26.2°C, but the night temperature dropped to 10°C, slightly below normal.

Chaibasa emerged as the warmest location in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 28°C.

Dense fog was reported in Deoghar, where visibility dropped to 800 metres, affecting early morning movement.

Cold Spell to Continue

Weather officials said the persistence of cold and foggy conditions indicates that cold wave conditions and chilly mornings are likely to continue across several parts of Jharkhand for at least the next 48 hours.
