Jamshedpur, Nov 11: Jharkhand continues to experience a steady drop in temperatures as north-westerly to northerly winds dominate the lower tropospheric levels across the state.
The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has reported no significant synoptic system over Jharkhand at present, but the persistent cold, dry winds arle likely to intensify.
Dry conditions prevailed across the state during the past 24 hours, allowing rapid heat loss during the night.

As a result, several districts recorded noticeably low minimum temperatures.
Met officials said the clear sky and uninterrupted flow of cold winds are likely to keep the state’s weather crisp during the day and sharply colder at night.
Daytime temperatures are expected to hover between 25°C and 28°C, accompanied by hazy sunshine.

By evening, temperatures are likely to dip rapidly, reaching 14°C–16°C in several districts by late night.
Districts such as Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, and Simdega may continue to feel the early impact of cold-wave-like conditions.
With no major weather system approaching, Jharkhand is expected to remain dry and stable over the next 48 hours.
However, the continued inflow of cold north-westerly winds will keep the minimum temperatures below normal in many areas, especially in the western plateau region.
Residents, particularly the elderly and children, are advised to take precautions during the evening and early morning hours when the wind chill intensifies.
Farmers and outdoor workers are encouraged to schedule activities during the warmer afternoon period.
