Jamshedpur, Nov 30: Cyclone Fengal which made landfall in the Tamil Nadu coast has impacted Jharkhand’s weather
The cyclone which originated from the Bay of Bengal made a landfall between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram last afternoon.
It resulted in heavy rains in Tamil Nadu. The cyclone resulted in cloud formation and heavy moisture incursion in Jharkhand and this in turn resulted in a rise in minimum temperature.
Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Khunti, Simdega, Ranchi and several other places across Jharkhand today woke upto overcast conditions.
The prevailing weather system prevented the flow of north-westerly wind.
Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 12.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.
The minimum temperature shot up to 17.9 degrees Celsius in Jamshedpur today while Chaibasa recorded a minimum temperature of 15.6 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature also witnessed a rising trend in Daltonganj, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, Seraikela and several other places.
