Ranchi/Davos, January 20: From the global platform of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared a message for the people of Jharkhand, reaffirming the state’s commitment to becoming a leading destination for investment and development.

Posting on X from Davos, he said the visit aims to fulfil the dreams of Jharkhand’s ancestors and Baba Dishom Guruji, with a focus on building a strong and progressive future for the state. He stated that the objective of participating in WEF is to make young Jharkhand a leading state through global partnerships and investment.
Positive Investment Discussions at WEF
Hemant Soren said that positive discussions have already been held with representatives of various companies regarding investment in Jharkhand. He added that further meetings with global leaders are scheduled during the World Economic Forum to explore additional investment opportunities.

He emphasised that Jharkhand’s progress will directly lead to the progress of its people, and that the global platform of WEF is being used to promote foreign investment in the state.

White Badge Honour Dedicated to Jharkhand
During the WEF annual meeting held on January 20 in Davos, Hemant Soren participated as the first tribal leader from India. He was conferred with the White Badge in recognition of his leadership and work in Jharkhand.
Reacting to the honour, he said that the White Badge is an honour for Jharkhand and its people, and described it as a moment of pride for the entire state. He dedicated the recognition to the people of Jharkhand.
Meetings with Global Companies and Institutions
As part of the Davos visit, Hemant Soren, along with Kalpana Murmu Soren and a delegation of senior state officials, is holding meetings with leaders of global business councils and institutions from Sweden, the United States, and Europe.
These meetings include interactions with companies such as Tata Steel, Hitachi, Schneider Electric, Infosys, Welspun, AB InBev, Bloomberg, Tech Mahindra, Alfanar, Ramky Group, and Everstone Group.
The discussions are focused on investment opportunities in sustainable industries, green energy, critical minerals, modern infrastructure, digital technology, and climate-friendly industrial development in Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Opening Doors to Global Investment
The state government is positioning Jharkhand as an emerging destination for foreign investment by showcasing its potential in energy, infrastructure, technology, and sustainable growth. The meetings at WEF Davos are being seen as a significant step towards attracting long-term global partnerships for Jharkhand’s development.
