Jamshedpur, Jan 21: Panic spread in the Mango area on Wednesday afternoon after a daring daylight burglary at Lalita Parshuram Dental Clinic, located on Sankosai Road No. 1 under the Mango police station area.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 12:30 pm when two unidentified miscreants broke into the clinic by damaging the rear wall.

The accused allegedly stole a television set and a laptop kept inside the clinic before attempting to flee the spot.

Locals Chase Burglars, One Held

Their suspicious movements were noticed by alert residents, who raised an alarm and chased them. During the pursuit, one of the accused was caught by locals, while the other managed to escape amid the chaos.

The apprehended youth was later handed over to the police.

After receiving information, a team from Mango police station rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation.

The arrested accused has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. Police officials said that questioning is expected to provide important leads about the absconding accused and the possible involvement of a larger gang.

Clinic Owner Seeks Recovery of Stolen Items

The clinic owner said that the theft of essential electronic equipment has caused significant inconvenience and may disrupt daily operations. He urged the police to ensure the early recovery of the stolen items.

Residents Demand Better Security

The daylight incident has raised serious concerns among local traders and residents. Many alleged that inadequate police patrolling has emboldened criminals in the area. They have demanded stronger security measures and regular police patrols.

Meanwhile, police have assured that the case is being taken seriously and efforts are underway to arrest the absconding accused at the earliest.
