Five key themes dominate HR discussions
The deliberations centred on five key themes — Artificial Intelligence Adoption in HR, Labour Reforms and their Impact on Labour Practices, Green HRM and Sustainability, Total Rewards and Career Management, and Digital Transformation of Business and HR/IR Processes.
Through keynote addresses, expert sessions, panel discussions and organisational presentations, participants exchanged experiences and examined emerging trends reshaping workplaces.
Discussions covered the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, the future of work, employee wellbeing, workers’ dignity, sustainability, and the use of technology to transform human resource and industrial relations processes.
Leading organisations recognised
The awards were a major highlight of the conclave, recognising organisations whose HR initiatives have demonstrated sustained value for employees, organisations and society.
NTPC was recognised for Most Consistent & Employee-centric HR Practices, while CRED received the award for Artificial Intelligence Adoption in HR.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation of India Limited (NLCIL) won the award for Impact of Labour Reforms on Labour Relations, while Larsen & Toubro (L&T) was honoured for Environment and Sustainability: Green HRM.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. received the award for Total Rewards and Career Management, and Brigade Enterprises was recognised for Digital Transformation of Business and HR/IR Processes.
Industry participation

Jatinder Kumar Jha, Convenor of the conclave and Associate Professor in the HRM Area at XLRI, said the HR function was undergoing rapid change as organisations responded to technological, regulatory and environmental shifts.
“AI is influencing decision-making, labour laws are being redefined, and sustainability is becoming non-negotiable. HR is no longer merely supporting transformation; it is emerging as a key driver of organisational growth and a long-term value creator,” he said.
The conclave concluded with a valedictory session and award distribution on September 2, reaffirming XLRI’s focus on advancing responsible HR practices and fostering workplaces that create value beyond the organisation.
