New Delhi, Jan 8: The Congress launched the ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojna’ scheme on Wednesday, pledging a Rs 25 lakh health insurance cover if the party wins the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

At the launch, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated that the Delhi Congress has decided to incorporate the ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ in its manifesto for the upcoming elections. The scheme promises health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh.

He highlighted that a similar initiative was introduced in Rajasthan, providing free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh for all residents, with no conditions or restrictions, ensuring inclusivity.

Gehlot described the proposed scheme as a potential game-changer and said that the proposed scheme is designed to offer extensive health coverage for families, including medical expenses for critical illnesses, hospitalizations, and treatments.

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place on February 5, with the results being counted on February 8.
