Jamshedpur, Nov 15: A depression originating from the Bay of Bengal will impact Jharkhand’s weather, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

The Met Centre predicted light rain in eastern Jharkhand on Friday, November 17.

The four-day Chhath festival will also begin on November 17 with ‘Nahaye Khaye’.

According to Weathermen, cloud formation will take place from tomorrow itself.

Light northerly to north-easterly wind was prevailing at lower levels of the atmosphere.

The Low-Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman-Nicobar Islands with an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to upper tropospheric levels persists.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal today.

Thereafter, it would move northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast on November 16.

Subsequently, it would recurve north-northeastwards and reach the Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast on November 17.
