Jamshedpur, Nov 16: The depression over the Bay of Bengal has triggered cloud cover over various parts of Jharkhand today.

Weathermen ruled out the possibility of rain today but said light rain was expected in eastern Jharkhand tomorrow, due to the impact of the depression.

No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.

Only light northerly to north-easterly wind prevails at lower levels of the atmosphere.

The Low-Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman-Nicobar Islands with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto upper tropospheric levels persists.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further into a deep depression.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 32.0°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 14.2°C was recorded at Ranchi.
