Dhanbad, January 5: Judicial officers of the Dhanbad civil court on Monday morning marched through the streets of the coal city to educate youth and the general public about the dangers of drug abuse.
Awareness March Held Across Key City Routes
The awareness march began from the Dhanbad Civil Court premises at 10 am and passed through major routes of the city before returning to the starting point.
Judicial officers carried banners and posters highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and urging people to stay away from drugs.

Drug Abuse Weakens Society: Principal District Judge
Principal District and Sessions Judge Bal Krishna Tiwari, who led the march, said that drug addiction not only damages an individual’s health but also weakens families and society as a whole.
He appealed to the public, particularly the youth, to avoid social evils like drug abuse and work towards a healthy and bright future.
March Organised Under ‘DAWN’ Programme
Mayank Tushar Topno, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Civil Judge, said the awareness campaign was organised under the “DAWN” programme run by the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA).
He added that the objective of the march was to create awareness about the growing menace of drug abuse. JHALSA has been continuously conducting campaigns against social evils while also promoting legal awareness in society.
Senior Judicial Officers Participate
Several senior judicial officers participated in the march, including Principal Judge, Family Court Subhash, District and Sessions Judges Manish, Durgesh Chandra Awasthi, Paras Kumar Sinha, Kamlesh Kumar Shukla, Vijay Kumar Shrivastava, and Vikesh Rathi, Chief Judicial Magistrate Aarti Mala, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate P. S. Ghosh, Civil Judge Rajeev Kumar Singh, Judicial Magistrate First Class Rishi Kumar, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Abhijit Pandey, LADCS chief Kumar Vimalendu, and Deputy Chief Ajay Kumar Bhatt, among others.
The march started at 10 am and concluded around 11 am.
