Ranchi, Jan 5: Legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a criminal complaint in Ranchi court against Aarka Sports and Management Limited’s Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash.
In 2017, Diwakar purportedly entered into a partnership with MSD to establish a cricket academy on a global scale. But Diwakar did not meet the specified conditions outlined in the agreement. Aarka Sports was required to fulfill obligations, including paying a franchise fee and sharing profits, as per the terms of the agreement, which were not upheld.

Terms disregarded
Despite multiple efforts, the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement were consistently ignored. As a result, MSD withdrew the authorization letter granted to Aarka Sports on August 15th, 2021, and issued several legal notices, all of which remained unanswered.
Dayanand Singh, who is representing MS Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, stated that Aarka Sports misled and defrauded them, causing them to suffer a loss of more than Rs 15 crore.
In a complaint, Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, also referred to as Chittu, alleged that following their legal action against Aarka Sports, Mihir Diwakar threatened and abused him.
