Patna, August 22: Anger spilled onto the streets of Patna on Thursday after the bodies of two children, missing since August 15, were discovered inside a vehicle.

Locals blocked Atal Path and set tyres ablaze, demanding action against those they suspected to be involved in the killings.

Central Superintendent of Police Diksha stated that the demonstration was organised without prior permission, creating a traffic jam under the Pataliputra PS limits.

The protestors had not informed the authorities in advance about their gathering.

According to the officer, the situation was brought under control after police intervened and held discussions with the protestors.

She further confirmed that an FIR is being registered against all participants for staging what was termed an unlawful protest.
