Ranchi, July 11: Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Managing Director of Curesta Health and a senior neurosurgeon, has been elected President of the Neurotrauma Society of India, becoming the first neurosurgeon from Eastern India to hold this prestigious position.

The team at Curesta Health marked the occasion with a congratulatory celebration and a cake-cutting ceremony, recognising Dr. Kumar’s outstanding achievement. In his remarks, Dr. Kumar described the appointment as both an honour and a significant responsibility. He outlined his commitment to enhancing trauma care infrastructure in Jharkhand, particularly in Ranchi, and to introducing cutting-edge medical technologies to elevate treatment standards across the region.

Dr. Kumar also reaffirmed Curesta Health’s mission to deliver advanced and affordable medical care, stating that this milestone could set a new benchmark for healthcare in Jharkhand and beyond.

Currently serving as Director of Neurosciences at Curesta Hospital, Ranchi, Dr. Kumar is a leading figure in the field of neurosurgery in Jharkhand. His past roles include Vice Chairman and Medical Director at Medica Hospital and Paras Hospital. Through his leadership, neurosurgery and trauma care services in the state have made significant advancements, with a focus on accessibility and innovation.

His election to the presidency of the Neurotrauma Society of India not only marks a personal professional triumph but also represents a moment of pride for Jharkhand and the wider Eastern India region. The society plays a critical role in advancing policy, raising awareness, and promoting academic excellence in the field of neurotrauma and neurosurgery.

Dr. Kumar’s appointment underscores the growing recognition of medical professionals from Jharkhand on both national and international platforms.
