Jamshedpur, Feb 26: The dry spell persisted across Jharkhand during the past 24 hours, with a slight drop in minimum temperatures at several places, according to the Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

The latest Met bulletin said there was no significant synoptic system affecting the state. North-westerly winds prevail at lower tropospheric levels, keeping weather conditions dry and stable.

Among major stations, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 27.0°C and a minimum of 13.0°C. Jamshedpur registered 31.8°C and 15.2°C, respectively. Daltonganj reported 31.6°C (max) and 11.7°C (min), while Bokaro recorded 31.1°C and 13.6°C. Chaibasa was the hottest among key stations at 33.2°C, with a minimum of 14.4°C.

No rainfall was reported from these stations during the past 24 hours. Jagannathpur AWS recorded the highest maximum temperature at 32.2°C, while Gumla AWS registered the lowest minimum at 11.0°C. Visibility at Ranchi was 2000 metres.

Overall, the weather across Jharkhand remained largely dry with marginal fluctuations in day and night temperatures.
