Eco Club of BIT Sindri organises green marathon

Dhanbad, February 1: The Eco Club of BIT Sindri organised a Green Marathon on the campus on Sunday morning to promote environmental protection and sustainability.

More than 800 students from all years of the B.Tech programme participated in the event along with several faculty members. The participation of faculty members alongside students drew attention and added to the enthusiasm of the event.

According to the organisers, the Green Marathon was held with the theme “Run for a Greener Tomorrow”, with the aim of spreading awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable practices among students and faculty members.

Faculty Encourage Student Participation

The programme was attended by Eco Club in-charge B D Yadav, along with R K Verma and other faculty members, who encouraged students to actively support environmental initiatives.

Addressing the participants, B D Yadav spoke about the importance of caring for the environment and motivated Eco Club members to work consistently for environmental protection in the future.

R K Verma urged students to take active roles in building a sustainable future, while other faculty members also shared their views on environmental responsibility.

Event Organised by Eco Club Team

The Eco Club office bearers said the event was organised by the core team of the Eco Club with the support of student volunteers. The Green Marathon brought together the campus community and conveyed a message of collective responsibility for a cleaner and greener environment.
