ED conducts raids in Gujarat, Maharashtra in cash-for-votes case

New Delhi, Nov 14: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday launched large-scale searches in Ahmedabad, Surat, Malegaon, Nashik, and Mumbai in connection with an alleged cash-for-votes investigation. ED teams are searching 13 locations in Ahmedabad, three in Surat, two in Malegaon, and five in Mumbai.

The searches target alleged financial irregularities related to vote-buying, with sources revealing that the ED is focused on tracking money trails, possible bribes, and financial transactions tied to influencing voters.
