Election for new Vice President on September 9, says EC

New Delhi, August 1: The Vice President’s post, left vacant following Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation on July 22, will be filled through an election scheduled for September 9, according to the Election Commission.

The poll body stated that results will be declared the same day.

The official notification for the election will be issued on August 7, while candidates can file their nominations until August 21.
