PINAKI MAJUMDAR
Jamshedpur, January 14: An atmosphere of fear and anxiety has gripped the Adityapur industrial area after Kairav Gandhi (24), son of noted industrialist Devang Gandhi, went missing under mysterious circumstances.
The recovery of his SUV abandoned on National Highway-33 late Tuesday night has intensified concerns over a possible kidnapping.
Kairav Gandhi was reportedly travelling from the Chandil side when he suddenly went out of contact. Acting on a tip-off, police later found his vehicle parked on the roadside of NH-33.

The SUV was unlocked, and several of Kairav’s personal belongings were found inside. Although there were no visible signs of damage or struggle, the manner in which the vehicle was abandoned has raised serious suspicion.
Police Suspect Abduction from Chandil Area
Investigators believe that Kairav may have been abducted from Kanderbera in Chandil. Given the family’s high-profile background, police are probing the case as a possible kidnapping for ransom, though no ransom demand has been received so far.

Industry bodies have urged the administration to ensure Kairav’s swift recovery and strengthen security in industrial zones and along major highways.
