Jamshedpur, August 13: Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, a vibrant full dress rehearsal of the parade was held on Wednesday at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
Contingents of armed forces personnel, scouts, and guides marched in perfect rhythm, dressed in striking uniforms, captivating both officials and onlookers.
Administrative officers conducted a thorough inspection of the venue, reviewing security arrangements, sanitation, and other essential services.

The parade featured spirited participation from the Rapid Action Force (RAF), District Armed Police (male and female), JAP-6, Home Guards, NCC, Scouts and Guides, CRPF, and students from various schools.
The disciplined formations, precise coordination, and energetic display left a lasting impression on the audience.
Key departments, including the district administration, police, municipal corporation, health, and electricity boards, finalized preparations for the grand event.
Stage decorations, the flag-hoisting area, VIP gallery, spectator stands, security cordons, and ambulance facilities were all meticulously checked and readied.

As part of the pre-Independence Day events, a colourful cultural evening will be hosted on August 14 at Sidgora Town Hall, where students from city schools and colleges will perform patriotic songs and dances.
The main ceremony will be held on August 15 at 9:05 a.m. at Gopal Maidan, featuring flag hoisting, parade inspection, an award ceremony, and cultural performances.
Schoolchildren will also take out a Prabhat Pheri (morning march) to spread the festive spirit across the city.
