Ranchi, Nov 1: DAV Neerja Sahay School organized a heartfelt Grandparents’ Day celebration dedicated to honouring the elderly who have devoted their lives to their families but now find themselves living in old age homes.

The main objective of the event was to rekindle respect and appreciation for the elderly in society and to bring moments of joy into their lives.
The event was orchestrated by the school’s principal, Kiran Yadav, and DAV Regional Officer (ARO) M.K. Sinha, both of whom played a vital role in making the occasion successful and memorable.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Swami DivyaGyan, who is not only the editor of Utkal Mail but also a renowned spiritual leader.
Swami DivyaGyan shared his inspirational thoughts on the invaluable contributions and wisdom of the elderly in Indian society.
He referenced a story from the Ramayana, highlighting that if King Dasharatha’s father had been alive, he could have intervened and prevented Kaikeyi from giving her painful demands. He emphasized the essential role of grandparents, stating that they impart invaluable life lessons and values, preserving culture and traditions.
