Nemra (Ramgarh), March 5: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the traditional Baha Parv celebrations in his ancestral village Nemra in Ramgarh district.

During the visit, the Chief Minister, accompanied by his family, joined villagers in offering prayers at Jaher Than, the sacred grove associated with tribal traditions. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity, well-being and progress of the people of the state.

Traditional rituals performed

As per tradition, the puja was conducted by the village priests — Naike Baba (Pahan) Chaitan Tudu and Kudam Naike Baba (Deputy Pahan) Chhotu Besra.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren walked from his residence in the village to Jaher Than along with the villagers to participate in the Baha Puja, following customary rituals.

Residents of Nemra and nearby areas gathered in large numbers to greet the Chief Minister during the festival. The villagers accompanied him to Jaher Than while playing traditional drums and the Mandar, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Soren also joined the celebrations by playing the Mandar, encouraging the villagers and sharing the festive spirit with them.

Family accompanies Chief Minister

The Chief Minister arrived in Nemra on a two-day visit along with his wife, Kalpana Soren, MLA, and other family members.

People from surrounding villages came to meet the Chief Minister during his visit. Soren interacted with them warmly and listened to their concerns.

On the occasion, he also extended his greetings and best wishes to the people on the festival of Baha Parv.
