Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Champai Soren said he had given his opinion earlier when he visited the national capital on August 18.

“But the health of the party’s senior leader Guruji is not good and he is not able to speak properly. So, we have now decided to start a new chapter,” he said and confirmed that he along with his son Babulal Soren will join the BJP on August 30 in Ranchi.

He further said that earlier he had thought of retiring, but later seeing the enthusiasm of the public and the workers and their demand, he thought he would remain active in politics.

He further said that earlier we had thought of forming a new organisation, but due to lack of time and after thinking about the different situation of Jharkhand state, our faith in the country’s Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah increased and we decided to join the Bhartiya Janata Party.

Meanwhile, former Union Minster Arjun Munda hailed Champai Soren’s move of joining the BJP and said, “It is not acceptable to just vote politics among tribals. Tribals should be observed across the country with policy and principles. It is condemnable to remove a tribal from the chair of the Chief Minister for the greedy of power. Respected Champai Soren ji is coming to BJP considering the interest of tribals in the whole country.”

We don’t consider it appropriate to respond to whatever anyone says: Champai

On being asked about his plans, Champai Soren said that he is going to Jharkhand tomorrow (August 28). On the other hand, he said that he had struggled a lot in Jharkhand, his history is as clear as a mirror, so we don’t consider it appropriate to respond to whatever anyone says.

Champai Soren also confirmed that his son Babulal Soren will also join the BJP. On being asked if BJP state president Babulal Marandi is angry with him joining the BJP, Champai said that he will not say anything about that.

Champai gets Z plus security

Meanwhile, the central government has scaled up the security of Champai Soren. He has been given Z plus category security. He will get Z plus security as soon as he returns from Delhi. Now 33 soldiers will be deployed for the security of Champai Soren.

Notably, Champai Soren met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in Delhi on Monday night. During this, there was a consultation about his future strategy. Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP election co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma was also present on the spot. After the meeting, at around 11.30 pm, Himanta Biswa Sarma shared this information by posting on X. He also said that Champai Soren will join the BJP on August 30 in Ranchi.
