Haryana govt grants 10% reservation for Agniveers in police, forest guard jobs

Chandigarh, July 17: Haryana’s government announced on Wednesday that Agniveers will receive a 10% reservation in services such as police, forest guard, and jail warden, and will also benefit from age relaxation and other incentives.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced at a press conference that a 10% horizontal reservation for Agniveers will be implemented in direct recruitment for posts including constable, mining guard, forest guard, jail warden, and special police officer.

In addition, the chief minister mentioned that a three-year age relaxation will be implemented for Group C and D positions.

Chief Minister Saini added that, for the first batch of Agniveers, the age relaxation will be five years.
