Jamshedpur, July 19: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 Kmph) at isolated places across Jharkhand on July 19.

It is moving west-northwestwards at a speed of 17 Kmph and is expected to gradually weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area over the next 24 hours as it travels through northwest Madhya Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan.

The monsoon trough continues to extend from Bikaner, Sikar, through the depression center, and further southeast across parts of Jharkhand, including Sidhi, Daltonganj, and Purulia, before stretching into the Bay of Bengal. This alignment continues to support active monsoon conditions in the region.
