Jamshedpur, Sept 22: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of thundershowers, lightning, and heavy rainfall at isolated places across Jharkhand over the next five days.
On September 22, thunderstorms with gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are likely at isolated places. Heavy rainfall is expected on September 23 in southern Jharkhand, while both heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely in southern and adjoining central parts on September 24.
Similar conditions are forecast on September 25, followed by heavy rainfall in southern and central Jharkhand on September 26.

Meteorologists said the southwest monsoon withdrawal line continues to pass through parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation over the north Andaman Sea is likely to trigger a low-pressure area in the north Bay of Bengal.
Another low-pressure system is expected around September 25, which may intensify into a depression near the South Odisha–North Andhra coast by September 26 and cross land the following day.
The IMD has advised caution against lightning strikes, gusty winds, and heavy downpours in vulnerable districts.
