Ranchi, Oct 24: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday attended a nomination rally for BJP candidate Naveen Jaiswal from the Hatia Assembly constituency at Harmu Maidan. During his speech, he fiercely criticized the Jharkhand government. He stated, “The Dana cyclone may pass in two days, but if the Hemant government returns to power in Jharkhand once again, it will destroy the state.”

Accusations of infiltration, crime, misgovernance and corruption

He attacked the state government over the recent incident of a girl’s rape in Ranchi. He claimed that under Hemant’s government, 7,400 rapes have occurred. He highlighted the brutal murder of Rubika Pahariya, saying that girls like her were mutilated and discarded. He emphasized that Hemant Soren’s government is intolerable and asked the public if they would endure such a government any longer.

Chouhan accused the JMM government of disrespecting daughters and mothers. Addressing the issue of infiltration, he mentioned that Bangladeshis are entering the state, marrying local girls, and seizing land. He accused Hemant Soren’s government of welcoming these infiltrators. He warned that if Hemant’s government is allowed another five years in power, it would devastate Jharkhand.

He further stated, “We have heard about Kumbhakarna, who used to stay awake for six months and sleep for six months. When awake, all he did was eat. But the leaders of JMM eat throughout the entire year.” He criticized the coalition government, saying it has consumed the state’s sand, soil, and coal. He said the Hemant government has been looting the public’s money, and now it is time for change and to take revenge on this misgovernance.

He also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had sent crores of rupees to lay pipelines for drinking water in every village and panchayat, but the JMM-Congress coalition government misappropriated those funds. He accused Hemant Soren’s government of swallowing the money sent by the Prime Minister for Jharkhand’s development. Chouhan urged the people to hold the government accountable in the upcoming elections and defeat the JMM-Congress coalition government.

Unfulfilled promises and paper leaks

Criticizing the state’s unfulfilled promises, the Union Minister said that Hemant Soren had promised to provide 5 lakh jobs every year to the youth. Now, 4 years and 10 months have passed, but no one has received a job. As the elections approached, the government hurriedly announced police recruitment, making young people run for it to the point where one could not return home alive—one mother received her son’s dead body.

Chouhan also raised concerns about the paper leaks and corruption in examinations under the Hemant government, stating that those responsible for the paper leaks would be sent to jail and would not be spared. If a BJP government is formed in the state, results will not be based on faulty exams.

BJP’s five vows and development plans

He said that as soon as the BJP government is formed, the 2.86 lakh vacant positions in the state will be filled right after the first cabinet meeting. He further added that a recruitment calendar will be created. Our “five vows” (Panch Pran) include giving jobs to the youth as the first priority. If the BJP government comes to power, 5 lakh employment opportunities will be created separately, in addition to providing government jobs.

“The Hemant government had promised to give women ₹2,000 per month as kitchen expenses, but no one has received it. Now, with elections approaching, women are being tempted with ₹1,000 to secure votes. The BJP’s vow is that once the government is formed, a decision will be made in the first cabinet meeting to deposit ₹2,100 into every sister’s account on the 11th of every month. Madhya Pradesh was the first state to implement the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana,’ where money was deposited into the accounts of sisters. Similarly, in Jharkhand, women will benefit from the ‘Gogo Didi Yojana’,” he said.

He further said, “As soon as the BJP government is formed, young graduates with degrees such as BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, and MCom will receive ₹2,000 per month for two years. Those living in temporary houses will be given permanent homes. Hemant Soren’s government built their own houses, but under Modi Ji and a BJP government, homes will be built for the poor. Currently, sand is being sold in buckets in the state, as Hemant Soren has exploited the sand resources. The BJP promises that sand for house construction will be provided free of cost.”

He also announced that a BJP government will transform the lives of Jharkhand residents. Once in power, gas cylinders will be available for ₹500, and two free cylinders will be given during festivals.

Targeting the state government, it he said that those involved in corruption will not be spared by the BJP. This assembly election is about saving the future of Jharkhand. It is an election to protect our land, livelihood, and daughters.

Today, a sea of people has gathered in Hatia Assembly to support Naveen Jaiswal. Naveen Jaiswal stated, “I will live in Hatia, and I will die here.”

Chouhan exuded confidence that the public will ensure Naveen Ji’s victory with a record number of votes, BJP government will be formed in the state.
