New Delhi, August 31: Young and aspiring hockey players are gearing up for the inaugural Sub Junior Inter-Zone Championship 2024, which kicks off on September 1, 2024.
Jharkhand capital Ranchi will be the venue for the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men Inter-Zone Championship 2024, while Haryana’s Narwana will host the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Women Inter-Zone Championship 2024.
According to the Hockey India (HI) release, the prestigious tournament in the Hockey India calendar for the Sub-Junior category is set to offer a prime opportunity for emerging players to display their skills and potentially join Hockey India’s junior programs.

For the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men Inter-Zone Championship 2024, six teams are split into two pools: Pool A features North Zone, South Zone, and SAI, whereas Pool B consists of East Zone, West Zone, and Academy.
The seven-day tournament will take place at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, a venue with a history of hosting international events, offering young hockey players the chance to compete at an international venue.
The 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Women Inter-Zone Championship 2024 in Narwana will see North Zone, East Zone, and SAI BAL competing in Pool A, while Pool B will include South Zone, West Zone, SAI Shakti and Academy. The seven-day tournament will take place at the Navdeep Stadium in Narwana, Haryana.
